Shaving double coated breeds
Shaving your double coated dog may result in the hair growing back patchy, thicker, a different texture or not at all. Some believe it makes them cooler in the summer, but in reality it makes them much hotter. Here at Groomaholics, we will not shave a double coated breed without a vet note stating they recommend we do so.
Fleas and ticks
If your dog is found with any fleas or ticks, you will be contacted immediately to come pick up your pup. We are happy to reschedule after they have been flea/tick free for at least 2 weeks. Since we are a small, home based salon, we can't risk an infestation in our shop and to other dogs in the facility.
Late cancellation and no show fees
Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment will result in a $55 fee for full groom appointments, and a $30 fee for bath and tidy appointments that will need to be paid within 24 hours of your appointment time. This fee also applies to clients who fail to attend their appointment without notice.
We require new clients to pay a deposit for their first appointment with us. Must be paid within 24 hours of booking to confirm your appointment. Failure to do so will result in your appointment being cancelled.
We strive for excellence but in the event that you are unhappy with your pups groom, please reach out within 24 hours of your appointment so that we can make it right.
At Groomaholics, we will not brush out any matting because it is painful for your dog. Severe matting can cause bruising, skin irritation, hematomas and even cut off circulation. Because of this, we will shave any matting out in the dog's best interest. We are not liable for any cuts or irritations caused by shaving them out.
Groomaholics is unable to accept any dog age 2 or older that are not neutered or spayed. Generally, unfixed males can have some behavioural needs that our groomer is unable to manage alone. We are unable to accept females in heat.
Maintaining a Schedule
Groomaholics requires all clients to maintain a 10 week or more frequent schedule. Failure to do so will result in removal from our client list.
Proof Of Rabies
We require all clients to send proof of rabies vaccine prior to their appointment. Must be a vet record stating when they last received the vaccine and when they are due next. Failure to do so will result in appointment cancelation.
PLEASE MAKE IT YOUR PRIORITY TO ARRIVE ON TIME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. WE CANNOT GUARENTEE WE WILL BE ABLE TO ACCOMADATE YOU OTHERWISE AND A NO SHOW FEE WILL BE APPLIED.
PLEASE MAKE IT YOUR PRIORITY TO PICK UP YOUR DOG IN A TIMELY MANNER. YOUR GROOMER WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR DOG IS READY, PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME TO AVOID LATE PICK UP FEES.
